My friend from the Madrid Marathon and I signed up for a 100km race in Italy together. He dropped out before the start, and I couldn't blame him. But that wasn't going to stop me. I flew to Tuscany with my mum, and ran 100km through the vineyards of Chianti. Seventeen hours later I crossed the finish line. I was in disbelief, and so was my mum. A regular guy finishing a 100km race.
